Technology Background of Ultrafine Fly Ash

The HITEPOZZO® – UFFA series is a new generation, high-reactivity ultrafine fly ash developed through advanced material research and precision process engineering. It is a performance-driven mineral admixture designed for next-generation cementitious systems & high performance concretes.

Produced from carefully selected fly ash and processed using state-of-the-art controlled multi-stage classification and advanced refinement technology, HITEPOZZO® – UFFA features a narrow particle size distribution and significantly enhanced specific surface area.

These engineered characteristics improve particle packing density and reactivity within cementitious matrices, enabling higher strength development, improved durability, enhanced workability and rheological performance.

Classified Fly Ash Vs Ultrafine Fly Ash HITEPOZZO® - UFFA

Compared to conventional classified fly ash, HITEPOZZO - UFFA Ultrafine Fly ash products demonstrates very fine particle size, narrow particle size distribution, increased specific surface area, refined pore structure, improved physicochemical characteristics, enhanced particle packing efficiency, reduced permeability and consistent strength improvement, etc.

Advantage of Ultrafine Fly Ash HITEPOZZO® - UFFA in Advanced Concretes

Reduced Water - Cement Ratio & Increased Workability

The higher percentage of spherical particles in HITEPOZZO® – UFFA acts as a solid-state plasticizer (in addition to the regular plasticizer}, improving workability and reducing water–cement ratio.

Increased Durability

Being significantly finer than cement and other supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs), HITEPOZZO® – UFFA fills micro-voids, reduces or eliminates capillary bleed channels, and enhances concrete density and resistance to chloride and sulphate attacks.

Enhanced Strength

In addition to the regular cementitious matrix formation in the concrete, HITEPOZZO® – UFFA reacts with free lime [Ca(OH)₂] released during cement hydration to form additional highly stable and stronger calcium silicate hydrate (C-S-H) gel. This results in stronger bonding, denser microstructure, and increased compressive strength...

Frequently Asked Questions

Cementitious materials are binding materials used in concrete and construction that react with water to form a hardened mass. They include Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC), Portland Pozzolana Cement (PPC) and Portland Slag Cement (PSC), which are manufactured from raw materials for making cement such as limestone, clay, and gypsum.

SCMs are mineral admixtures such as fly ash and GGBS, used as partial clinker replacement in blended cement (PPC & PSC) manufacturing and as cement replacement materials in concrete. High-reactivity engineered SCMs like silica fume (micro silica), metakaolin, microfine slag and ultrafine fly ash (UFFA) are used in concrete and advanced binder systems for enhanced reactivity and performance.

Conventional fly ash (pulverised fuel ash) use in concrete / cement is mainly for cement / clinker replacement and later-age strength improvement. Processed or classified fly ash, with improved and consistent fineness, is used for better performance and workability in concrete. Ultrafine fly ash (UFFA), with very high fineness and controlled PSD, delivers faster strength development, superior durability and workability in advanced concrete and binder systems.

Bulk fly ash for sale is more economical due to lower packaging, handling, and transportation costs per ton. It is ideal for infrastructure projects, RMC and cement plants requiring large volume supply. For competitive pricing and consistent ultrafine fly ash bulk supply, buyers should work directly with ultrafine fly ash manufacturers. Bagged fly ash for sale is better suited for smaller or remote projects where bulk handling is not feasible.

Ultrafine fly ash price depends on factors such as fineness, particle size distribution (PSD), quantity, packaging (bulk or bagged) and inland logistics costs. Ultrafine fly ash export price additionally includes shipping, port charges, handling, and insurance costs. UFFA is more expensive than conventional fly ash but remains significantly more cost-effective compared to silica fume price (micro silica), metakaolin price and micro fine slag price.

For conventional applications, fly ash can be sourced from local fly ash suppliers or distributors. However, for classified fly ash or ultra fine fly ash (UFFA), it is advisable to purchase fly ash only from qualified manufacturers with proven fly ash classification capability, expertise in ultrafine processing, compliance with relevant standards and the ability to supply consistent, high-quality bulk volumes.

To buy ultrafine fly ash at a competitive price, it is best to source directly from established fly ash suppliers with advanced processing capabilities. While fly ash distributors can support local availability, direct fly ash manufacturers ensure consistent quality, better pricing for bulk orders and reliable long-term supply for concrete and infrastructure applications.
